At Ahvah’s Family Child Care, your child’s development and growth are important.  Your child will learn in a fun, positive, safe, and nurturing environment where curiosity, creative thinking, and play are promoted and encouraged. Through imaginative play, children learn skills such as socialization, problem-solving, independence, and confidence. My policy is to treat each child with respect and as an individual. Every child is different, and I give special care and consideration to developing your child’s unique personality, talents, and abilities.



Ahvah’s Family Child Care is a private, state-licensed, home-based childcare service. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and certifications in both CPR, First Aid, and Food Safety. I taught for over 25 years in the educational field as a preschool teacher. Because of this, I have experience in dealing with various personalities, needs, behaviors, and backgrounds.  Choosing home-based childcare means more individual care and attention because of limited enrollment.  In addition, the homelike environment is more soothing and comforting for the child.

Children have always been my first love and passion. I enjoy teaching young children and helping them not only cultivate skills but also develop to their highest capabilities. My goal is for a child to thrive not only emotionally but intellectually and socially. At Ahvah’s Family Child Care, they will learn through fun hands-on activities that promote sensory, motor, intellectual, and social skills.
