MISSION STATEMENT

At Ahvah’s Family Child Care, our mission is threefold. One is to provide high-quality education in an environment that is not only safe, supportive, and fun for learning but is also favorable for a child to thrive. Our goal is to inspire a love of learning and to help the child excel in all areas: emotional, intellectual, social, and physical arenas. Our purpose is to create a confident and independent child who possesses not only self-esteem and self-respect but who also respects others. Two is to treat all children with kindness and respect. Respect, compassion, and communication are at the core of our values. Three is to treat parents with respect and understanding and to include them in the educational process. It is often said that it takes a village to raise a child, and we believe in that statement. A child's development and educational success is a team effort; due to this, parent involvement is essential to the child's progress and academic achievement. We take parents’ concerns seriously and welcome their input. We have an open-door policy, and parents are welcome anytime. We believe in open and honest communication, teamwork, and updating the parent regarding the child’s progress. Together we can give the child a solid foundation that will equip them for success.

Here at Ahvah’s Family Child Care, we offer two programs for your needs. We have a full academic preschool program and a Before and After Care program. All programs have limited enrollment.

PRESCHOOL

Learning is a top priority at Ahvah’s Family Child Care. We offer a rich educational setting where curiosity is encouraged. Children learn best through play and exploration, and they retain information much better through practice. We believe experience is the best teacher. Due to this, all academic and developmental tasks are taught through fun and creative hands-on activities. Children learn in a safe, supportive, and positive environment where the curriculum is tailored to each child’s unique learning style, and they are developed at their own pace. Because the program has a limited enrollment, each child receives individualized attention, and special consideration is given to their academic, developmental, and emotional needs.

BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE

At Ahvah’s Family Child Care, we offer a safe and fun environment for your before and after school needs. Your child’s well-being is important, and because of this, children are monitored and supervised by experienced and compassionate staff. There are fun age-related activities to keep children occupied along with homework support if needed. Children are encouraged to complete schoolwork before engaging in fun activities.
